coleslaw my way

Its both wet and crispy, and coleslaw is something very tasty for me. But when it starts swimming in mayonnaise I lose my interest. I lightened the classic American way, and now its just for me.

ingredients

  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp grainy mustard
  • 4 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cabbage (about 6 cups), shred
  • 2 medium carrot (about 3 cups), thick grate
  • 1 bundle of scallion, thin slice (optional)

preparation

  1. Blend yogurt, mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, olive oil and salt in a bowl.
  2. Combine cabbage, carrot and scallion in a big bowl. Pour on the yogurt sauce. Fold well by hand. Cover. Refrigerate at least for 30 min before service.
  • 1 çbk = 1 çorba kaşığı = 1 table spoon = 15 ml
  • 1 tsp = 1 tatlı kaşığı = 1 tea spoon = 5 ml
  • 1 cup ~ 1 su bardağı = 1 cup = 240 ml
